ELIXIA members workout like never before - generating record results
SATS ASA, the parent company of ELIXIA, has opened several new clubs and launched numerous new training products, which is giving positive results. In the second quarter, SATS members completed 11 million training sessions, an increase of 8 percent compared to Q2 2023 and 28 percent more than in Q2 2019. More people are also making use of SATS' popular group training products.
That is why SATS is further strengthening this offer, launching new concepts this week with a focus on yoga, meditation and stress management, as a response to increased demand among members.
– Our members exercise more than ever, which has a very positive effect on public health. This is a result of significant investments in new product areas which contribute to get more people active, says Sondre Gravir, CEO of SATS.
Improved product offerings and strong visitor growth resulted in solid financial results for the second quarter of 2024. The total revenues for the quarter increased by 5 percent and ended at NOK 1266 million. Operating profit (EBITDA before IFRS 16) increased by 13 percent and ended at NOK 219 million.
SATS also announces that the company will start buying back shares and pay dividends.
– We are proud to present record high financial results for the sixth quarter in a row. SATS is now in a strong financial position. Therefore, we can now pay dividends and at the same time invest in our clubs and open new clubs - all to make people healthier and happier, says Gravir.
